Electrics and Lighting
The power is supplied from the engine through large heavy-duty traction batteries, to give 12 volt electric lights throughout.
There is a separate battery for starting the engine.
240 Mains Voltage
On all boats there is a 200 watt output inverter with household square pin sockets, which means that on all boats you will be able to:-
1. Recharge Ni-Cd battery packs as used for mobile phones and camcorders.
2. Operate low consumption appliances such as electric razors.
All five star boats are fitted with a 1500 watt inverter and their boat equipment includes a 1200 watt hair dryer and a toaster.
Entertainment Centres
In the saloon all boats carry a colour TV, DVD player, CD player, radio and cassette player. The 5 star boats have an additional radio in the master bed room.
Water and Water Filters
All boats carry large fresh water tanks. Although there is a gauge fitted to some boats we recommend the tank is filled daily. A hose, reel and connector are stored aboard.
Although the tanks are regularly treated there is a 'springclear' drinking water filter fitted to the cold water tap in the galley, which filtrates and freshens the water.
The Saloon
Saloons are large enough to sit the whole crew. The settees are covered in dralon with scatter cushions providing a warm comfortable area in which to relax and watch the colour television or the passing scenery through the panoramic windows.
The boats 'Juniper' and 'Jasmin' have four arm chairs as pictured right.
Toilets
Boat toilets are hygienic and simple to operate. They are fresh water flushing with a vitreous china bowl and have a water seal between the toilet and the holding tank.
Windows
A combination of hopper windows over the bunks and sliding windows in the galley and passage give good ventilation in both hot and wet weather. All forward facing windows are double glazed.
Heating & Hot Water
All boats are fitted with gas boilers which provide full central heating via radiators.
There is also a large airing cupboard and heated hanging cupboard which can prove invaluable in wet weather.
Hot and cold water is supplied to the household size shower, galley sink and wash-basins via an automatic pump.
Pets
Pets are welcomed on all non carpeted and some carpeted boats, provided they are well trained and have their own bed. Puppies are not allowed.
We regret no more than two pets may be taken on any boat without our prior agreement.
There is a charge of £15.00 per pet for a short break and £25.00 per pet for a week.
Car Park
Cars may be parked free of charge at the boatyard for the duration of your holiday at the owners risk.
Lock up garages are not available, however some staff live on site.
Smoking.
We do not allow smoking inside any of our boats. The front and rear cockpits form a perfect place for a smoke. Ashtrays are provided for smoking while on deck.
Provisions
A Tesco supermarket is half a mile from our yard (please see map before arriving at the boatyard).
While cruising provisions can be obtained at village shops and town supermarkets.
