When should we book?
The sooner you book the better. We have many regular customers who book early. Leaving your booking till the Spring could lead to disappointment.
How do we book?
 Phone, fax or E Mail us at Leighton Buzzard (see contact page) and check the boat availabilty for the time you require. We will then reserve the boat for up to five days.
You can use our printable booking form or our online secure booking service. Once we receive your completed booking form together with a 20% deposit or full payment if within four weeks your holiday booking is secure.
Please be aware when using our online secure booking service that your card is cleared manually in our office, and the actual booking confirmation is either posted to your contact address, or if your holiday is within a couple of days an email will be sent to you by one of our office staff confirming your booking details. Submitting the form is not booking confirmation.
When do we pay the balance?
Your balance of hire is not due until four weeks before you start your holiday. You will receive a statement seven weeks before your holiday.
What is included in the hire fee?
The hire of the canal boat and all its equipment including bedding, VAT at 17.5% (where applicable), fuel, gas, mid week toilet pump-out on holidays over seven days, car parking, buoyancy aids, television and damage waiver.
There is no security deposit or damage waiver payable by family groups. For all-male, all-female and party bookings a £200.00 security deposit is payable. All same sex crews at the Companies discretion.
What is not included in the hire fee?
Cancellation scheme (see opposite). Extra persons aged 4 and over. £20.00 for a short break and £40.00 for a week. Pets £15.00 short break £25.00 per week each pet. Security deposit as above.
When can we board our boat?
 All our holidays start at 4.00 p.m. on the day of departure, however the canal boat can usually be boarded from 1.30 p.m. You must be back at base by 9.00 a.m. at the finish of your vacation - this allows us time to prepare the boat for the next hirer.
Special Savers
Weekly Crew reduction
On all boats we give a weekly discount of £30.00 for one less than the full complement and £60.00 for two less than the full complement.
Short Break Crew reduction
On all boats we give a discount of £15.00 per half week for one less than the full complement and £30.00 per half week for two less than the full complement.
Second Week
Book an extra week - or more - for 15% off the second and subsequent consecutive week(s) (after crew discount).
Spring & Autumn 2 & 3 Week Savers for 2008.
On all Saturday & Tuesday boats 2 and 3 week holidays taken between 29th March and 24th May we offer the second and third weeks are at 50% brochure price (after crew discount).
On all Saturday & Tuesday boats 2 and 3 week holidays taken between 30th August and 18th October we offer the second and third weeks are at 75% brochure price (after crew discount).
Cancellation Scheme
We offer a cancellation scheme whereby for a small premium (see our Terms and Conditions) we can cover your liabilities if you unfortunately have to cancel your holiday.
The premium must be paid when booking your holiday.
For Overseas Visitors please remember our scheme does not cover your flights and other travel arrangements. It may therefore be better for visitors to insure through an 'all in one' Travel Insurance scheme.
